At the end of the loft you find a door leading into a tiny room with a high and steeply sloped ceiling. It has a window, a dresser, a full-size bed, bookshelves set into the wall, and its own door to outside, if you don’t mind using a brass ladder to climb down under the eaves of the house. This is the Monk’s Cell. It has a single full-size bed which any monk would consider extravagantly comfortable.
